On the 4th of February, our Year 9 students took part in an inspiring and hands-on Art workshop led by the talented multi-disciplinary artist, Juliet Moots. Known for her innovative approach to printmaking, painting, and mixed media, Juliet has exhibited her work internationally and has a passion for encouraging creativity in young artists. Her expertise in experimental print techniques provided our students with a fantastic opportunity to explore new artistic methods!
During the session, students learned how to use gelli plates to create unique monoprints, experimenting with texture, layering, and colour. The energy and enthusiasm in the room were outstanding, and by the end of the workshop, over 200 prints had been produced—each showcasing the individuality and creativity of our Year 9s.
A huge congratulations to all the students for their hard work and engagement throughout the day. Your commitment to exploring new techniques and producing such high-quality artwork was truly commendable. We look forward to seeing how this experience will influence your future artistic endeavours!
