Our Mission:
The Ridgeway Secondary School PTA is dedicated to fostering a positive, supportive environment between our students, teachers, and families. We work together to enhance the overall school experience, bridging the gap between home and school, and providing valuable resources to help our students thrive.
Our Role:
  • Supporting Events: We organize and help facilitate school events, making sure both students and families have enjoyable experiences. Whether it’s the annual school fair, sports day, or evening social, the PTA is actively involved.
  • Acting as a Conduit: We ensure clear and open communication between home and school. By sharing information and gathering feedback from families, the PTA helps teachers and school staff understand the needs and concerns of the parent community.
  • Fundraising for Targeted Projects: The PTA raises funds to support special projects across the school that might not be covered by the standard school budget. These can include updated classroom equipment, extracurricular activities, or special learning resources.
How We Support Families
At Ridgeway Secondary, we know that building a strong connection between families and the school enhances the educational experience for all students. Here’s how the PTA helps:
  • Creating Community: We bring together parents and teachers to build relationships that help create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all.
  • Providing Resources: Whether through informational evenings or social events, we help families navigate the school experience more smoothly.
  • Providing a Voice: Parents are encouraged to share their opinions and ideas, which are shared through the PTA to help shape school decisions.
