We were delighted to welcome back our students on Monday 28th April for the start of the Summer Term. The school was filled with energy and enthusiasm as we gathered together to mark the new beginning with our ‘Reset’ assemblies. These assemblies gave us the opportunity to reflect on our values as a school community and to set the tone for the term ahead. Every student was challenged to make a difference — whether in their learning, their friendships, or the wider community — and we can’t wait to see how they rise to that challenge.
The Summer Term promises to be an exciting and memorable one. Our Year 11 students are embarking on their GCSE examinations, and we are incredibly proud of the hard work and determination they have shown in preparing for this important milestone.
Beyond the exams, there is a packed calendar of events and activities for all year groups to enjoy. We are looking forward to a number of exciting trips, giving students opportunities to enrich their learning outside the classroom. Our Year 7s will soon be heading off on their residential adventure — a fantastic chance to build confidence, resilience and new friendships. Meanwhile, our Year 9 students are preparing for their Duke of Edinburgh Award practice expedition, where they will develop valuable skills in teamwork, leadership and perseverance.
There’s plenty of fun and celebration ahead too, with Sports Day and our much-anticipated Colour Run bringing the whole school community together in the spirit of competition and joy.
And that’s just the start — there’s so much more to look forward to over the coming weeks!
We can’t wait to see what our students will achieve this term. Let’s make it one to remember!
