Dear Year 11 Parent/Carer,
On the morning of Friday 4th October, year 11 students will be visiting Bromsgrove Fire Station to take part in the ‘Dying2Drive’ initiative.
Dying 2 Drive is a free multi-agency road safety initiative aimed at reducing death and serious injury amongst young road users in Herefordshire and Worcestershire. At the event, a range of road safety topics including a road traffic collision reconstruction and practical interactive workshops will be covered.
The scheme is aimed at Year 11 students who will currently be car passengers and soon become young drivers with a strong emphasis on the “Fatal Four” causes of road traffic collisions whilst giving the opportunity to explore the choices and consequences around poor decision making. The following video link will give you more of an insight into the morning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFdeU_Ue8Hs .
students will be departing Ridgeway Secondary School by coach at 9.15am and will return at 12.15pm. Please ensure your child brings a drink, snack and a coat with them.
The cost of the trip is £3, which covers transport to and from the event. Please make payment via Parent Pay by Monday 1st October.
