Examination Period Arrangements 

As the beginning of the exam period is almost upon us, we wanted to make you aware of the arrangements throughout the period on offer to enhance our students’ preparation. During this time, we have arranged a comprehensive package of additional sessions for students to prepare themselves for each exam. These sessions will take place in three forms: On a morning before an exam from 8:00am – 8:40am, after school from 3:00pm – 4:00pm or finally in place of other lessons that the student is no longer required to study. 

We understand that this is a stressful period for all students in year 11 and we have held numerous assemblies to remove this anxiety as much as possible. Throughout the course of the exam period pastoral support, as always will be close by for all students to access and students have been communicated with clearly about the arrangements on the day of each exam. 

In each morning session all students will be allowed into school from 8:00am. We heavily encourage all students taking public transport to make arrangements to be in school for this time. Breakfast will be provided in all classrooms where sessions take place for students to get the best possible start to the day. 

During this period, your child will be expected to remain in school uniform for the duration of the exams and expected to arrive on time for every exam. 

Please see attached to this letter a copy of the timetable for each session available so you can clearly signpost your child to the most useful sessions. We hope this provides you with an overview of the sessions on offer and look forward to a successful exam period.
