Please find below some FAQ in response to our recently approved submission to become a secondary school from September 2016.
UPDATED MONDAY 17TH OCTOBER 2014
On Friday 10th October we uploaded on to our website the fact that we have submitted a proposal to the Education Funding Agency (EFA) a ‘Business Plan for Significant Change’ to convert to a secondary school for 2016. Following feedback from our public consultation, we decided to leave the school student Admission Numbers (PAN) at the current level of 120 and not 90 as previously proposed. Consequently there will not be a shortfall of 30 places locally.
I am sure you will have seen that some members of the local press have ran with a story which states we have submitted a plan to the EFA with a PAN of 90 and therefore there will be a shortfall of 30 places locally. It is unfortunate that information hadn’t been checked with the school prior to going to press.
We will continue to update our website with information as and when any further developments happen.
Ridgeway Secondary School Trust has, this week, submitted it’s business case to the EFA in relation to converting to Secondary School status.
We will continue to update you when we have further information.
Should you have any queries please contact the school on 01527 892867 or e-mail email@example.com
Thank you to everyone who attended our consultation meeting last night, Monday 16th June.
If you were unable to attend, please find attached a copy of the presentation given by Mr Bennett for your information.
There have been a number of schools proposing age change. Ridgeway has been asked to display and/or pass on to parents a petitions against one school’s proposal. Unfortunately our school practice is not to give out petitions to parentsconcerning other public organisations (schools, hospitals etc…). We do not wish to be seen to be trying to influence the public on another public funded organisations proposals.
Therefore, should people be interested to find out and support Tudor Grange Academy Redditch proposals, then their website and further information can be found here:
Should you wish to view the group against the proposals petition and any further information can be found here:
Ridgeway Middle School (Ridgeway Secondary School Trust) will announce via this website the outcome and any decisions made by the Governing Body concerning these proposals as they obviously have an impact on this school.
